Terms

Last updated 23 October 2026

These are the general terms for working with us. Your proposal sets out the details of your project. If your proposal and these terms ever disagree, the proposal wins.

Who you're working with

If you're in India, our services are provided and invoiced by Vedanta Ventures. Everywhere else, they're provided and invoiced by BotLane LLC. Your proposal names which one you're dealing with.

Scope and proposals

Every project starts with a written proposal: what's included, how many revision rounds, the timeline, the price and the payment stages. Work starts only after you accept it in writing. Anything that isn't in the proposal is quoted as a change before we do it, and it starts once you've accepted and paid for it.

Prices and tax

Prices in rupees exclude GST, which is added to your invoice. Prices in dollars are as quoted; if any tax applies, it's shown on the invoice. The price in your accepted proposal doesn't change unless the scope does.

Paying in stages

  • Each project is paid in stages, as set out in your proposal.
  • A stage starts only once its payment has cleared, meaning it has reached our account (for example, a bank or UPI reference, or a confirmed card payment).
  • If a payment is late, work pauses and the timeline moves by the same amount.
  • Orders placed through a marketplace such as Fiverr or Upwork follow that marketplace's terms.

Revisions and approval

Your proposal says how many rounds of revisions are included. We share work for your approval before moving on, and approval in writing (an email or a message) is enough. Extra rounds are quoted as a change. The timeline assumes timely feedback; if feedback takes longer, the timeline moves with it.

Your content and accounts

You provide the words, photos, prices and other content, and confirm you have the right to use them. The domain, hosting, email, AI and messaging accounts are set up in your name. Their running costs are yours: you pay them directly, or we bill them to you at cost. Passwords and access are shared through a password manager, never by email or chat.

Ownership

Once the final stage is paid, you own what we made for you: the design, the code and the content. We keep the right to reuse our general know-how, tools and techniques. We show your project in our work only with your permission.

AI and automations

AI replies are trained on the information you approve, and like any AI they can sometimes be wrong. You stay responsible for what your business tells its customers, so please review what it says and tell us when something needs correcting. We don't promise any particular number of enquiries, bookings or sales.

Monthly plans

Care plans and retainers are paid monthly in advance. You can stop one before the next month starts, and it ends at the close of the month you've paid for.

If a project stops

Either of us can end a project in writing. You keep the work from the stages you've paid for. Payment for a stage that has already started isn't refunded.

Responsibility

We do our work with reasonable care and skill. Our total responsibility for any claim about a project is limited to the amount you've paid us for that project.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in force when you accepted your proposal applies to your project. Questions? Email admin@botlane.io.
